Act updates customer management software

By Joel Shore • May 7, 2014

One of the challenges of being a professional photographer is the constant need to do marketing and prospecting for new business. Keeping in touch with current customers and reaching out to potential new ones requires organization, and that means CRM, customer relationship management. These days, what's needed is contact management and e-marketing fused together. Act! v16.1, released today, does that and fully integrates Act! emarketing across all of its platforms; Windows, Web, and Hosted.

Today’s release provides all current Act! v16 customers with a free upgrade to version 16.1, which includes the fully integrated Act! emarketing service, with subscriptions starting as low as $10/mo. Act! emarketing delivers a unique, integrated email marketing experience. It provides a cost-effective way to engage, convert and retain customers, all while enriching relationship history. Act! makes this possible by seamlessly flowing information from all emarketing campaign activities back to each contact record.

Act! emarketing allows users to easily create professional-looking, custom email campaigns with the user-friendly drag-and-drop template editor, or by leveraging hundreds of stock templates.  Act! users are able to segment contacts into groups with ease, streamlining the process of sending targeted campaigns, while intelligent, prioritized Call Lists3 take the guesswork out of sales follow-up. The Call List guides the user to their hottest leads based on each recipient’s level of engagement with a campaign.

Act! v16.1 and the integrated emarketing functionality is supported by the Recommendation Architecture that powers the Call List3. The Recommendation Architecture, mentioned in a release earlier this year, is an underlying layer of analysis technologies that runs invisibly to the user.  This architecture will power an increasing number of features within the Swiftpage portfolio over time, each designed to give insightful, proactive advice to users to help them focus their time and resources on the most productive, business-building activities. The Call List provides users with proactive recommendations, telling them the next best step to take and with who. The idea is for these recommendations take the guesswork out of closing sales.
