Book-publishing platform Blurb is launching its Designer Collection, a series of free-to-use book templates that aim to instantly transform simple photo books into professionally designed productions. Unlike being locked into cookie-cutter wedding, travel, or family book themes, users can choose from a series of six stylish templates, each suitable for multiple occasions. After choosing a template, Blurb’s online app automatically creates a book that company officials described as “seriously stylish and highly personalized.”

Additional customization options allow creators to add captions, include personal messages, and switch among different layouts seamlessly. The Designer Collection was created specifically for Blurb by designer Laura Brunow Miner, former Design Director at the JPG Magazine and founder of Pictory, an online photo magazine.

The Designer Collection enhances Blurb’s popular Instant Photo Book offerings that enable photographers and social media users to create and publish books in less than an hour, pulling directly from their Facebook Timelines, friend’s Facebook collections, or their Instagram photo streams. The Designer Collection allows photo book creators to pull photographs from anywhere, whether in Facebook, Instagram, or their personal digital collection.

The service is available at www.blurb.com/designer-collection.
